The best way to look after your PDA screen is to put a screen protector on it in the first place. If you have tried in the past to fit a screen protector and found that all you ended up with was a screen full of bubbles then you were probably impatient. Now you have a scratched screen all is not lost...
There are two steps to getting your PDA back to its former glory, well the screen anyway... reducing the scratches and applying a screen protector:
Reducing the scratches. WARNING - follow this procedure at your own risk. You are unlikely to be able to completely remove the scratches but there is a good chance that you can reduce them enough to make them disappear under a screen protector. You'll need some nail varnish remover, the type that warns about damaging plastics, and an old towel. Wrap the towel around your finger tight and put some of the nail varnish remover on the end then rub the scratches hard in a circular motion. The nail varnish remover will melt the surface of the screen very slightly and soften the edges of the scratches. BE CAREFUL not to rub the sides of the screen as the nail varnish remover will also remove the paint or surface of the case. When you have rubbed the screen for a few minutes use another part of the towel to polish the screen up. Keep repeating this for five or ten minutes.
Applying the screen protector. You can probably get a screen protector for your PDA, try Amazon. Once you have a screen protector (buy a pack of three or five to take the pressure off...) clean the screen with solvent such as glasses cleaner. Find yourself a clean, dust free, place to do this. Peel back one corner of the backing paper and be careful not to touch the sticky side of the screen protector or to let it come in to contact with anything. Place the corner of the screen protector down on the screen ,in the corner obviously, then using a soft lint free cloth, like a glasses cleaning cloth, apply pressure to the screen protector to apply it as you slowly peel off the backing paper. You'll end up with small bubbles under the surface but that is ok. With your finger in s soft cloth try to push the bubbles toward the side until those small ones that remain wont move. Now, stop trying and don't try again for a week. In that time you'll find that most of them disappear and you'll have a screen you are happy with.
Good luck.
